About the event
Organised by Farnham Runners this event was BARR scrutineered in 2006 and given “Highly Commended”.
In 2009 we are again organising various running events to encourage different age groups and abilities to join in with the fun:
- 5K fun run - competitors 13 years or over (200 limit), starts at 10.30am
- 10K race - competitors 16 years or over (600 limit), starts at 10.30am
- Approx. 1K fun run – competitors between 5 and 8 years old (200 limit), starts at 12.00pm
- Approx. 3K fun run – competitors between 9 and 12 years old (200 limit), starts at 12.05pm
- Approx. 60m sprint - for the under 5’s (free entry on race day), starts at 12.30pm
How to enter
Closing date for entries is Friday 4th September 2009
Entries will be available on the day if places are still available (there will be an additional charge, £5 for 10K, £2 for 5K and £1 for 3K and 1K events).

There is an additional processing charge for online entries, £2 for 10K and 5K events and £1.50 for 3K and 1K events.
Race venue
Alice Holt Forest Visitor's Centre, Bucks Horn Oak, Farnham, Surrey, GU10 4LS
There is something for everyone at Alice Holt Forest including adventure playgrounds, nature walks, cycling, a shop selling refreshments, ice creams and gifts. You can ‘Go Ape’or take part in other forest adventures. There are lots of open spaces, wood enclaves and other places to have a picnic.
About the course
- This is a scenic, ‘multi-terrain forest course’ and is not suitable for wheelchairs.
- Drinks and sponge stations will be at the start / finish of each event and at half way for both the 5K & 10K events.
Facilities
- Port-a-loos
- Supervised baggage storage in a marquee
- Free parking in the designated field area 500m from the start
- First Aid provided by the British Red Cross.
Prizes
All finishers in any category will receive a memento. Prizes will be awarded on the day after the Under 5's race at approximately 12.45pm.
