Grand Prix Leagues are competitions within the club for members of Farnham Runners to compete against each other at nominated races throughout the year. There are many prizes and trophies that can be won by anyone.

There are 3 Grand Prix Leagues in which members can compete:

Members can compete in any or all of these individual leagues.

Each Grand Prix League is stand alone with its own prizes or trophies and members can win any or all of the individual leagues.

Grand Prix rules

The following rules apply to all the Grand Prix leagues:

  1. Farnham Runners encourages all members to take part in Grand Prix races.
  2. It is the responsibility of each individual runner to ensure that he or she is fit enough to compete in each race, and that he or she feels confident of finishing.
  3. If, due to injury or other unforeseen circumstance, a runner does not finish, then it is solely at the discretion of the Team Captain whether Grand Prix points are awarded.
  4. The Team Captain may defer this decision to the Farnham Runners Committee if he or she feels this is appropriate.
  5. The individual runner may appeal to the Committee, if he or she feels aggrieved by the Team Captain’s decision.
  6. The Committee will investigate the matter thoroughly and their decision will be final.
