European Veterans and British Masters cross-country championships
Jane Georghiou travelled to Ghent in Belgium to represent Great Britain at the European Veteran cross-country championship. On a flat very twisty course of only 5km she lay second in her age group for some of the way but was beaten by two other British ladies in a fast finish. Finishing 4th she was pleased to take her place on the podium, with the national anthem playing, as part of the gold medal-winning team.
She represented Farnham Runners in the British Masters cross-country championships at Birmingham the previous weekend placing 5th in the W55 category over the 6km three lap course round Perry Park.
