Gibbet Hill 10k

In the tough Gibbet Hill 10k race organised by Haslemere Border AC, Farnham Runners made up 24 of the 191 finishers. Sparring with the host club for the team prize, they came out on top but their rivals say they hope to retaliate at the Farnham Alice Holt 10km on Saturday 10th September.

The first four men and first three ladies of the team comprised the scoring places. Ian Carley sped round for 7th in a time of thirty-seven minutes 41 seconds (3rd M40) followed by Charles Ashby (39-53, 5th M40), Jason East 41-48, Steve Kitney 42-26. The three ladies were Jane Georghiou (45-42, 1st F45, 5th lady), Gabi Hitchcock (47-28, 9th lady) and Emma Drinkwater (53-48).
